Otolane appoints new Vice President of Sales, together with additional key former Manheim Canada hires.


(Milton, ON) March 25, 2024 – Otolane is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerald (Gerry) Johnson as its Vice President of Sales. Gerry brings over 25 years of experience in automotive remarketing and wholesale business experience to the role. As Vice President of Sales, Johnson will be responsible for both commercial and dealer sales. Johnson joins former key Manheim Canada veterans Steve Haardeng, the Company’s Director of Sales Operations, and Britney Patterson, who currently serves as the Company’s Business Development & Dealer Support Manager.

“I am excited to be joining a rapidly-growing digital business and look forward to helping advance the business further with the help of our great local team,” said Johnson. “The opportunity to grow both commercial and dealer business at Otolane is significant. My principal focus will be to assist our clients achieve their vehicle remarketing goals.”

For the last eight years, Gerry served as Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Manheim Toronto. Additionally, since 2015, Gerry held the position as Associate Director for National Commercial Accounts. Johnson’s entire career has revolved around the remarketing and wholesale automotive space during which he has had extensive experience designing and supporting digital remarketing solutions for commercial clients and managing significant automotive auction operations.

Haardeng, who has over 20 years of experience in automotive remarketing, most recently served as Senior Manager of Sales Operations at Manheim Canada. Patterson, who completed 10 years of service at Manheim Toronto in roles of increasing responsibility, was most recently responsible for inside sales and account management.
